Edward F. Altheide, 76, St. Philips
nurseryman and owner-operator of Altheide Greenhouse
there, died at 3:15 am today at his home after a lingering illness.
The body is at Alexander Funeral Home in Evansville where friends may call after Saturday . It will remain there until taken at 11
am Monday to St. Peter's Methodist Church at St. Philips, of which the deceased
was a member.
Rev. W.R. Lathom, pastor of St. Peter's
Church, will conduct the funeral service in the church at Monday. Burial will be in the church
Surviving are the wife, Henrietta; two daughters, Misses Matilda
and Minnie Altheide, at home, who assisted their
father in the operation of the greenhouse; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Schmidt and
Mrs. Louise Huck, both of Evansville, and a brother Oscar, Evansville.
