J. L. Barbee, age 76 years, a former resident of Princeton, and former employee of the Southern
Railway Company here, died Tuesday night at following a stroke four weeks ago at his
home in Fairfield, Ill.
Mr. Barbee was born Feb. 16, 1864 and was a brakeman on the old Air Line
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Adaline
Barbee; two daughters, Mrs. T. L. Kimbrough, of Detroit, Mich., and formerly of
Princeton and Mrs. Charles Bevirt, also of Detroit;
three grandchildren, Norma Lee and Doris Bevirt and
Marcella Johnson formerly Marcella Hulet, and one
great-great grandchild, Judy Bell Johnson of Detroit.
