OAKLAND CITY - Robert James Bell, 93, former resident of the Forsythe Community near Oakland City, died Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in St. Mary's Hospital Evansville.


Mr. Bell was taken to the hospital from the Holland Nursing Home.  Boonville.  He was born Nov 2, 1869, and was a prominent retired farmer of Gibson county.  He was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist church.  His wife, Lora, died Sep 8 1960.


Surviving are two sons, Ellis, Indianapolis and Harvey, manager of Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company, Evansville; two stepsons, Orvis Hutchinson, Oakland City, and Ray Hopkins of Kentucky; four grandchildren, several great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Tooley officiating.  Burial will be in the (Forsythe) church cemetery.
