EVANSVILLE - April 9, 1973

Albert F. Bender, 65, of 221 S. Vann Ave., Evansville, died of an apparent heart attack at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug 9, 1973 at his home.


Before his retirement in January, Bender was employed as a cost accountant at Servel, Ind., and the Arkla Air Conditioning Co., for 40 years.  He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.


Surviving are his wife, Ann; three son, Donald and Robert, both of Evansville, and Thomas, stationed with the Air Force in England; one daughter, Miss Patricia Bender of New Orleans, La; two brothers, Henry, of Owensville, Ind., and Oscar, of Venice, Fla., five sisters, Mrs. Louise Angermeier, Mrs. Ida Miller and Miss Viola Bender, all of Evansville, Mrs. Olivia Angermeier of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Amanda Effinger of Poseyville and 11 grandchildren.


Friends called after 5 p.m. Saturday at Fountain Terrace East chapel, where services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday continued at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, the Rev. James Rogers officiating.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
