1986, at WelbornHospital.
He owned Bretz hardware Store in
Cynthiana and had worked for 17 years at Sears.
He was president of the Cynthiana Chamber of Commerce and Mount
Vernon Coliseum Board. He was a past president and charter member of the ArmstrongRecreationCenter.
He graduated from MemorialHigh School in 1949 and attended Resurrection
He was a Korean War veteran.
Surviving are his wife, JoAnn; two
daughters, Rebecca Eckels of Evansville and Lori A. Wassmer of Poseyville, Ind; three sons, patrick E., of
Wadesville, Ind; Timothy J., of Evansville and David
A., of Cynthiana; four sisters Henrietta Work, Ardella
Ellison, Lovenia Osborn and Virginia Miller, all of
Evansville; a brother, John of Maitland, Fla; and nine grandchildren.
Services were Friday at Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel,
continued at 10 at Resurrection Catholic Church, with burial in St. JosephCemetery. .
