Walter A (Buck) Curtis, a retired farmer who observed his 92nd birthday last
December 23 and who had spent his entire life in his native Posey county died at Tuesday (18 Jan 1955).
Death came to the aged man at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edward Yeida, 908 W. Fourth street. mt.Curtis had been in failing health for three
years. He had been in a coma for the last five days following a stroke.
Both of Mr. Curtis' parents were natives of Posey county.
He wa a son of Amoxcurtis and Harriett Hill
Curtis, representatives of pioneer local families.
The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home and will
remain there through the funeral service set for Friday in the Weisinger
chapel. Burial will be in Black cemetery. Rev. Ernest Hopper,
pastor of Mt.VernonChurch of the Nazarene will conduct the
Mr. Curtis' wife nee Fannie Bennett, is deceased. Surviving him are two
daughters, Mrs. Yeida, Mt. Vernon and Miss Inez
