Mrs. Edith LaDuke Frease, 67, native of Posey county and a resident of
St. Louis for the past several years, died at 9:30 o'clock this morning in a hospital in that city according to word received here by relatives.  She had been ill for the past four months and a complication of diseases was the cause of her death.

The body will be brought to the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home in
Mt. Vernon tomorrow and last rites will be held either Monday or Thursday.

Mrs. Frease was the daughter of Elliott and Mary LaDuke and a member of
Welborn Methodist Church.

Near surviving relatives are a son, Elmo, St. Louis; three brothers, Elmer La Duke, Mt. Vernon, Floyd La Duke of near this city and Malcolm La Duke, Chicagp, three sisters, Mrs. Earl Miller, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. A. C. Lauder, Chicago, and Mrs. Vivian Berry, Carmi, Ill; and three grandchildren.  The husband of the deceased Wilson Frease, died about eight years ago.
