Nicholas Hartmann, 70, R. R. 1, Mt.Vernon, a prominent farmer and life-long
resident of Marrstownship,
died at today at his home on Ford Rd.
Complications attending an illness of pneumonia were fatal.
The deceased's parents, Nicholas Hartmann and Elizabeth Frey
Hartmann, were natives of Marrstownship.
The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home in
Mt.Vernon where friends may call after this evening.
It will be taken to Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church in Marrstownship at Saturday and will lie in state there
until the funeral service at Saturday. Officiating ministers
will be Rev. Robert Dohm, who will shortly assume the
active pastorate of ImmanuelChurch, and Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of TrinityEvangelicalChurch in Mt.Vernon. Burial will be in the church
Mr. Hartmann was a member of ImmanuelChurch and its Brotherhood.
include the wife, nee Lena Egli whose marriage to Mr.
Hartmann took place 45 years ago; a son, Oscar, R. R. 2, Mt. Vernon; a
daughter, Mrs. Loretta Bosecker, R. R. 13, Evansville;
a brother, Henry E. Hartmann, R. R. 2, Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Sam Egli, Evansville and four grandsons.
