Mrs. Hilda E. Wiseman Lewis, 64, Indianapolis, widow of Hurley Lewis and a former Mt. Vernon resident, died unexpectedly last night while visiting in Chicago, a close friend of the Lewis family, Mrs. Holger Anderson, Mt. Vernon was advised today.


The Lewis family left Mt. Vernon about 10 years ago for residence in Evansville where Mr. Lewis died a year later.  Mrs. Lewis had been residing with a son, Horace, in Indianapolis and was visiting another son, Howard, in Chicago, at the time of her death.  A coronary condition of several years was fatal at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.


The body is being returned to Evansville.  The funeral service will be conducted at the Pierre & Schenk Funeral Home at 2601 West Franklin street in Evansville at 2 p.m. Saturday.  Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery there.
