Mrs. Anna Henrietta Uhde Knopfmeier 72, widow of Henry Knopfmeier and a respected lifelong resident of the
Mt. Vernon community, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday (12 Dec 1954) at her home at 703 W. Eighth St.

She had been ill of heart disease for the last three weeks.  Mr. Knopfmeier was a devout member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church.

The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home and will remain there until it is taken to
Trinity Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m Wednesday.  Rev. August E. Binder, Trinity Church pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church Cemetery in Marrs township.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Augusta Scherer, 703 W. Eighth street; two sons, Arvin Knopfmeier, R. R. 1 and Arvil Knopfmeier, 733 E. Fourth street; three grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Uhde, 326 W. Eight street and Herman Uhde, R. R. 4 and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Kroeger, Evansville.
