Carl M. Sellner, 51, a former employe
of Mt. Vernon Milling Co., who had been ill for the last three years, died at Thursday (21 Oct 1954) at his home at 531 East Water Street.
He was a veteran of Navy service, enlisting in 1919.
He was a life-long resident of Posey county, a son of
Joseph Sellner and Frances KueberSellner.
The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home where
friends are invited to call beginning at Saturday. The funeral service will
be conducted at Monday in the Weisinger chapel with
burial following in Beech Grove cemetery in West Lynntownship.
Rev. Chester McGehee, pastor of FirstMissionaryBaptistChurch, will conduct the religious service and
Owen Dunn post No. 5, American Legion, will officiate
at the grave with military rites.
Surviving are the wife, nee Golda Alldredge; four
daughters, Mary Ruth, Carlene Sue, Linda May and Judy Kay, at home; five sons,
Edward Lee, Evansville, and Donald Ray, Paul Elwood, John Francis and James
Roger, Mt. Vernon; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louis Suits, Peoria, Ill; a brother,
Arthur Sellner, Mt. Vernon, and two sister, Mrs. Louis
Zenthoefer, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Alvin Grant,
