Mrs. Daisy Adeline Steele, 63, widow of Walter R. Steele, died at 5:30 a.m. today at the home of her son Kermit Steele, at 225 W. Tenth St.


She had been receiving treatment for a heart condition but her condition had not been viewed as serious.  Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Steel, a native of Illinois, had resided with her children and had been in the local son's home for the last three weeks.


The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home.  Funeral arrangements were incomplete early this afternoon.


Survivors include six sons, Ronald, Mt. Carmel, Ill; Cameron and Raymond, Alton, Ill; Ernest, Waukegan, Ill; Eugene, Kansas City, and Kermit, Mt. Vernon; three daughters Mrs. Mabel Bradley, Junction, Ill; Mrs. Eva Mc Chlahan, Phoenix, Ariz and Mrs. Nancy Williams, Kansas City; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Sam Chastain, Carmi, Ill; and a sister, Mrs. William Hargraves, Herrin., Ill.
