Mrs. Mary Cecil Cox Sweat, 45, Inverness, Fla., wife of Leonard Sweat and a Posey
county and Mt.Vernon resident until ten years ago, died at last night in St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg.
The popular former local woman underwent surgery there three weeks
Mr. and Mrs. Sweat were associated in ownership-operation of the
Arrow Cafe and later the Idlewild Cafe in Mt.Vernon for a number of years.
Since their departure from Mt.Vernon they had owned and operated the S &
W Cafe at Inverness, a tourist center.
A Rosary service will be conducted this evening at Potter Funeral
Home in Inverness following which the body will be brought
to Short-Niehaus Funeral Home in Mt.Vernon. It is expected to reachMt.Vernon late Saturday night.
The funeral service in Mt.Vernon will be at Monday. Burial will be in Laurel
Hill cemetery at Wadesville.
in addition to the husband and father, are a son, Robert, Inverness, and three
sisters, Miss Joan Cox, Mrs. MilsonHaering and Mrs. Clarence Rairdon,
all of Evansville.
