Walter Wasson, 90, native of Posey county and a resident of near Mt. Vernon, died Sunday (7 Aug 1955) at a rest home in Cynthiana.


Funeral services are to be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Old Beech Church with Elder Ed Beshear, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery in New Harmony.


A short prayer service will be held at the Weisinger Funeral Home chapel at 1:15 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.


The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.


Mr. Wasson, a member of the Primitive Baptist Church is survived by three sons, Roy, Wadesville, Rev. Otis Wasson, Evansville, and George of near New Harmony; four daughters, Mrs. Ermal Wade and Mrs. Vincent Williams, Wadesville, Mrs. Elijah Benton, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Glenn Duckworth of near Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Otis, Shelbyville and Marshall, Columbus; three sisters, Mrs. Samuel Walker, Mrs George Morganson and Mrs. Jesse Keith, Shelbyville; 29 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
