Mrs Mary Frances Waters, 71, a native of Posey county, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday (1 Jul 1955) in an Evansville Hospital.


She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and prior to her entrance to the hospital five years ago had resided in Mt. Vernon and vicinity.  Her father died when she was an infant.  Her mother was Mrs. Elizabeth Kueber.


The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home and will remain there until it is taken to St. Matthew's Catholic Church for Requiem High Mass at 8:15 a.m. Monday.  Father Raymond B. Smith, St. Matthew's pastor will be the Mass celebrant.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.


Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Zenthoefer, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Margaret Grant, Evansville; a son, Arthur Sellner, Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Herschel Lewis, Mt. Vernon; a half-sister, Mrs. Edgar Thomas, Mt. Vernon, and a half-brother, Abie Wagner, Mt. Vernon.
