The family of John Clark are buried in a small plot between the railroad and the White River just west of County Road 200 West.
It is west, in a field behind the Randolph County Animal Shelter.
One stone has the names of nine members of the family between 1837 and 1864.
Located between County Roads 300 and 400 West, on County Road 50 South. Located on south Main Street in Winchester. Ashel Stone designed and laid out this cemetery and donated it to the people of Winchester in 1880. Many bodies were moved here from other cemeteries, including Stone's father, Ezra, who died in 1848. A marker is here for the grandparents of James Whitcomb Riley,Indiana's poet, and there is one for Zachariah Johnston, a soldier of the Revolutionary War, although he is buried on a farm south of Winchester. The second location of burials for Winchester, was north of the Huntsville Road on Western Avenue, established by David Heaston in 1844. This too proved unsuitable, and later many of the bodies were removed. Zachariah Johnston, a Veteran of the Revolutionary War, is buried southwest of Winchester on a farm his family used to own, on County Road 150 South the east side of Huntsville Road. This can no longer be located. South of Winchester on the Huntsville Road on a family farm was the burial site for members of the Lasley family. It was just north of Sugar Creek Bridge. This cemetery is on the north side of State Road 32, souteast of Farmland. Tucker's History Page 126. On the north side of State Road 32, where the old Maxville Road angles to the northwest, was a burial site where a church was planned, but Mr. McPherson was killed before it could be built, this was in 1845. The interurban line would have gone over this location. On the Winchester - Union City Pike east of County Road 100 East, on the south side was the family burial plot of Zimri Moffitt. Only two stones remain, and are located in the yard, and is cared for by the owner of the land. Yellow rose bushes still stand blooming each year. Located on the west side of County Road 225 East, between County Roads 200 and 250 South, next to the church. The Neff burial ground is located north of the County Infirmary, west of State Road 27, on a hill in the middle of the pasture field. Located on the west side of County Road 500 West, about a 1/4 mile, past County Road 150 South. It sits about a 1/4 of a mile back off the road in a cornfield in a patch of woods. There are just a few stones remaining, some of the names were Beals, Addingtons, Pucketts, Jacksons and early Quaker families. Located in the southwest corner of Base Road and county road 500 West, was a burial ground started by the Sumwalt-Shearer families. An early Quaker Cemetery, there are many unmarked graves. Located at County Roads 100 East and 100 North on the south side of White River. It was in us by 1830. Thomas Ward, a Revolutionary War Veteran is buried here, along with his wife and several of his children. As a young man Thomas Ward was captured and tied to a stake by Indians. While they slept, he pulled up the stakes and escaped. The first burials in Winchester were along Salt Creek, in back of the present Nazarene Church. It was established by Charles Conway in 1834, but proved to be unsuitable. Those buried here were moved to other cemeteries. More information on this cemetery in mentioned on the Fountain Park Cemetery History Page. South east of Winchester on the family farm, Valentine Wysong, Revolutionary War Veteran, and others of the family are here. This page last

Dunkirk Graveyard is one of the oldest in the county. It is full of graves, and doubtless contains the bodies of many old settlers. It has, however, but very few tombstones, and the places of burial of these ancient pioneers can never be known. Great numbers of rough, unlettered stones are found thickly set over the cemetery, and many unnoted hillocks raise their melancholy heads above the consecrated ground, but they yield no token of the one who may chance to lie buried deep beneath them. Why should it be thus? And shall this state of things continue through the ages to come? God forbid!

Governor James Goodrich and his family are buried here. Many acres have been added to the original 18 sections.
This cemetery has a full-time caretaker living on the site.

Heaston Old Winchester Burials
It was a private burial spot.

Maxville was started in 1824 for an infant Robinson McIntire.
The entry to the cemetery was off the Maxville Road at Farmland. The old church stood in the back southwest corner. The maps and records were destroyed by a fire in the first church.
Woodlawn started across the Street from the Maxville cemetery in 1873. Woodlawn bought the Maxville cemetery when it grew up in weeds, and after the second church was removed Woodlawn ploted the last eight rows for burial.
This addition was called southside and some called it the old church yard.
This cemetery has a full time care-taker living on site. There is also a cemetery office with records.

This graveyard is much out of repair. Few tombstones are found. Daniel Beals' grave is there, who was quite aged. Several Addingtons lie there, but no gravestones, except Daniel Beals,' show an age beyond sixty years. Many graves appear, but nealy all have only rough stones, without any mark or definate token. A Friend's Meeting House was once here, but it has been gone for forty years or more. The cemetery has an old fence around it, but the only way of access is through an old field, and it is, perhaps, fifty rods from the highway.Sparrow Creek Cemetery Maps
