2.  ROBERT⁵ STEPHEN (ALEXANDER⁴, ANDREW³, ALEXANDER², STEPHEN¹) was born 1815 in Ohio, and died 29 Dec 1875 in Randolph County, Indiana, Bear Creek, Franklin Township.  He married ELIZABETH.  She was born 1825 in Virginia, and died 1879 in Randolph County, Indiana.

Notes for ROBERT STEPHEN:

There is a Robert Stephen who married an Elizabeth Gough on December 15, 1842, in Randolph County.

The 1850 census shows Robert Stephen(s) living his wife, Elizqbeth, and two daughters, Martha J. and Sarah E. , in Green Township of Randolph County, Indiana. His two younger brothers, Joseph and Elijah, are living in his household.

Robert's deathdate and death place came via the Randolph County, Indiana, website.

In her will, Elizabeth Stephen left money to her grandchildren, Mary E. and Robert H. Huffman.

ELLIOTT 01 Oct 1854 in Randolph County, Indiana.  She died 1877 in Randolph County, Indiana.

There is a Joshua Stephens living right next door to Robert Stephens in the 1860 census in Randolph County, Indiana. No Joseph is shown in Randolph County. Maybe Joshua and Joseph are the same individual.

Notes for ELIZABETH LAVINA A. ELLIOTT:

Randolph County, Indiana, notes I took in my travels show that Lavina died around 1877. Her minor children (Sarah A. Stephen and John E. Stephen) were to become under the guardianship of Joseph Stephen.

There is a Robert Stephens, 22, living within the Elijah Stephens household in the 1860 Randolph County census. Robert was born in Indiana (1838).
