Nina Babbitt is pictured holding the youngest of seven brothers and sisters that she helped save from the house fire in Corydon near Ramsey ... children Darrell & John died in the fire; Parents Mr. & Mrs. Alonzo Babbitt and two other sons were not home. . .
26 July 1953:
. . . Babbitt family now living in New Albany
Mr. & Mrs. Alonzo Babbitt and their three children moved to New Albany after their house in Ramsey was destroyed by fire . . . Their 3 and 4 year-old sons Darrell & John D. died in the fire . . .
