Santina DeBlase

Feb. 26, 1921 - Dec. 9, 2002

Santina DeBlase, 81, of West Tanglewood Lane, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, in Fountainview Place of Mishawaka.

On Feb. 26, 1921, Santina was born to the late Steve and Magala (Matacia) DeBlase in South Bend, Ind. She remained in this area most of her life. She worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital of South Bend as an aide, and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend.

Survivors of Santina include two dear friends, Ronnie Roberts and Nancy Grooms, both of South Bend.

Santina was preceded in death by eight brothers, Edward, Mike, Sam, Frank, Joseph, Steve Jr., Anthony and Gust DeBlase; as well as by four sisters, Christine, Kathryn, Mary and Anna.

Santina was the last surviving member of the Magala and Steve DeBlase family.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. Private entombment services will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.

Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, is handling arrangements.
