Mrs. Walter Kolacz

Dec. 8, 1889 - April 4, 1944


 

Mrs. Mary Ann Kolacz, age 54 of 2606 Western Avenue, died at 8:25 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after she had been taken from her home a few minutes earlier in the city ambulance. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mary Ann Kwestorowska was born in South Bend Dec. 8. 1889, and was married in October 1909,  in St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic church, Terra Coupe, this county, to Walter Kolacz who survives. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Frances Kwestorowska, of South Bend; five sons, John, Louis and Thaddeus Kolacz, all of South Bend; Corp. Aloysius Kolacz with the U. S. Army in Ireland, and Pfc. William Kolacz, of Camp Van Dorn, Miss.; three daughters Mrs. Lillian Nycz and Miss Phyllis Kolacz, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Sophie Wrobel, of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Joseph Kwestorowski, of South Bend; six sisters, Mrs. Helen Zielinska, of Mishawaka; Mrs. Bertha Zielinska, Mrs. Ida Rozanska, Mrs. Angela Kopczynska, Mrs. Harriet Andrejak and Mrs. William Winnicki, all of South Bend; and five grandchildren. Friends will be received in the home Friday night. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Adalbert's Roman Catholic church. Rev. Ignatius J. Gapczynski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
