Donald L. Snyder, 58, passed away on Wednesday, January 25 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind.

Don was born on July 27, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, to August Clayton and Georgia Pearl (Harris) Snyder.

On March 22, 2003, Don married the former Sandra Lynn Fry in Mishawaka, Indiana. Don and Sandy resided in Osceola, Ind.

Don is survived by his wife, Sandy; and his mother, Georgia Pearl Snyder of South Bend. He is also survived by a daughter, Kimlee (Scott) Duerksen of Mishawaka, Indiana; a son, Kent (Kim) Snyder of Elkhart, Indiana; two stepsons, Vaughn (Tammy) Seltzer of Mishawaka, Indiana and Brent (Colleen) Seltzer of Rudyard, Michigan. Don was a loving grandfather "Papa" to 12 grandchildren, Heather Hunsberger of Elkhart, Indiana, Courtney and Brian Duerksen, of Mishawaka, Ind., Noel, Andrew and Nicholas Snyder of Elkhart, Ind., Josh Kit of Mishawaka, Ind., Brittney (Josh) Renes of Mishawaka, Ind., Emilee Seltzer of Fort Myers, Fla., Stephanie and Vaughnie Seltzer of Mishawaka, Ind., and Lukas Seltzer of Rudyard, Mich.

Don is preceded in death by two granddaughters, April Duerksen and April Seltzer; and by his father, August Clayton Snyder.

Don was a drilling superintendent for Peerless Mid-West for eight years prior to his death. He was a member of the Grace Community Church; he enjoyed singing in quartet and playing golf as a hobby.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Grace Community Church, 4001 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, Ind. The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30 in the church, Pastor yRick Graves officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind., following the service.

The family requested that donations should be made to the Chemo Room, 100 Navarre Place, South Bend, IN, or to the Grace Community Church.

The Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, is handling arrangements.
