If you know of anyone who was on staff at Wood Lake over the last 50 years we would appreciate hearing from you. If you know of or have any Memoriablia from Wood Lake that can be copied we would love to have this for Historical preservation of Wood Lake History.

The 50th was a great time for all who attended. There were several who attended from the 50's staff and almost everyone from the 2006 and many from other years. Everyone had a grand time reminiscing about their days at Summer Camp and renewing old friendships.

Memories of Wood Lake
Please note that Boy Scout Summer Camp was not held at Camp Tamarrack in 1974. That was during the era of rotating the usage of three camps.
During that year summer camp was held at Pioneer Trails and To-Pe-Nee-Bee

There is a group F.O.W.L.S.A. (Friends of Wood Lake & Staff Association) started. F.O.W.L.S.A. is now a year old and the group has come together to help with projects a Wood Lake, Come and join us in fellowship and helping of projects.
Are you interested?
It would be a great way to stay in touch with fellow Staff members and to keep Wood Lake a growing and prosperous Scouting Camp.

During our December meeting it was determined to keep the Interm Officers for the next term. Was glad to see everyone that attended. FOWLSA is up and running and hope that more of the past staff and present will be interested in joining up for; Wood Lake Projects (a Big one coming up April 12, 2008, more information on this will be forthcoming, if interested please contact us), maintaining old and new friendships and most importantly, coming together and keeping Camp Tamerack, Wood Lake Scout Reservation going for another 50 years or more. Come and join us.....Even if you are not able to do most projects your support and friendship is most appreciated.
