Genealogical Conference in Lafayette: History Begins with You

On April 6, 2013, Tippecanoe County Area Genealogy Society (TIPCOA) and the Clinton County Genealogical Society (CCGS) will present a genealogical conference with the theme.

History Begins with You” at St. James Lutheran Church (800 Cincinnati Street, Lafayette) from 9 am to 4 pm.

Program: Morning speakers will be Ron Darrah on the topic “Fraternal Order of Everyone” and Harold Henderson, whose talk is “Finding Berrys in New York Probate and Property Records.” In the afternoon Ron will present “Show Me the Money” and Harold will speak on “Indirect Evidence: When Perry Mason Isn’t on Your Side.” There will also be two drawings the day of the conference.

Registration: Those who register early (any time before March 15) will have their names entered in an additional drawing for a free online course of their choice (an $89 value).

Early registration: TIPCOA/CCGS members $15, others $20; late registration: TIPCOA/CCGS members $20, others $25; walk-ins welcome, $25. Lunch (chicken salad on croissant) $6.50.
