Big News at Willard Library

Willard Library has recently beome a designated FamilySearch Center and an affilate of the Genealogical Society of Utah's Research and Library System! What this means to genealogists is that microfilm can be ordered from the Family History Library in Utah and then read at Willard Library. Microfilm may be used at Willard for 30 days with renewal privileges for a fee of $5.50 per microfilm reel. The list of available microfilm may be viewed at Willard Library or online at the Family History catalogue. Being able to use the microfilm on Willard's microfilm reader/printers during the hours Willard is open will be of great value to genealogists.

Chandler Database

Lyn Martin at Willard Library has recently received a flyer announcing the upcoming release of a computerized database for Chandler reseachers. It is said to contain more than 80,000 records of Chandler individuals from around the world, gathered from more than 20 years of research, and includes information from a Chandler DNA project, which groups participants into their genetic families. The database is due to be presented for the first time at the meeting of the Chandler Family Association in September. More information is available at the website for the Chandler Family Association at
