Sometimes we know an ancestor lived in a state by locating a small piece of information from a census record, a Bible record, or family lore that has been passed down through the generations. That small piece of information may lead you to Indiana, the Hoosier State. If you get lucky you may find the Indiana county your ancestor came to call home through that tidbit of information.
