The following people have offered to perform lookups in reference material they own or have access to that will hopefully direct you to the county in which your ancestor may have records. It is important to note that this is a volunteer activity. Your kindness, patience, and gratitude will go a long way in helping make this lookup service a success.

	Please follow the simple rules for requesting a lookup from our volunteers
	1. Subject of Email: Unknown County Lookup
	2. One specific individual per request
	3. One request per day
	4. Give known spelling of full name (In parentheses give any common mispellings or nick names)
	5. Give any known dates, spouses, or parents concerning this person. 6. State the source in which you are wanting the lookup. (Death Index, Birth Index, etc.)

BIRTH - MARRIAGE - DEATH INDEXES

The following are indexes only and I will do lookups to help you determine the county in which your ancestor may have documentation. Once you have the information you will need to contact the specific county on how to obtain copies of the documents.

I receive a lot of requests from this page, so please notice the dates that the indexes cover and read the rules for requesting before making your request!

If an Indiana ancestor's marriage record cannot be located in Indiana, you may wish to check the Cincinnati marriage records since many couples from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana were wed there.

For copies of birth, marrige, or death certificates; contact the specifc County Records Office or the Indiana State Vital Records Office.
