Vitals of Indiana

Information Gleaned from Other Sources

Most counties in Indiana didn't start keeping records for birth, death, or marriage until about 1882.  Some counties kept marriage records as early as 1850.
This page is dedicated to providing birth, death, or marriage dates gleaned from sources other than the county indexes.
If you have any pre-1882 birth, death, or marriage information you would like listed here that isn't already on the county indexes, please contact Cheryl Zufall Parker.  Please include the parents names  for births and marriages if known and the source of information whether it be a certificate, family bible, book, church records or a headstone.  If a headstone, please include the name of the cemetery.  Without a source the information will not be listed.

For more births from other sources check World Connect.

For copies of birth, marrige, or death certificates; contact the specifc County Records Office or the Indiana State Vital Records Office.
