Anti-Slavery Friend Cemetery Work Day June 11th 2005

Eight members of the Historical Society, and two people who just walked by, helped save Westfield History on this fine Saturday morning. The weather was perfect, just a couple of drops of rain, but with the cloudy sky it wasn't too warm.

We cleaned approximately 25 head stone, including some which were sunk deep into the soil and could hardly be seen. One of them was from Elizabeth White born 12/31/1826, died 03/01/1852, wife of MG White. This stone was almost completely sunk into the ground. To see some of the cleaned stones - click here.
