MARSHALL

Sharon Eller's great-great-grandfather was George MARSHALL (born 1826, died 1902) who emigrated to Canada from Old Leighlin, County Carlow, Ireland in 1847. George and his wife Susanna JAMES (also from Ireland) settled in Vars, Ontario (near Ottawa), and raised a family of thirteen children there on the farm. George was the son of Andrew MARSHALL, and was one of 17 children. Only George emigrated to Canada - four of his siblings went to the US, and others to Australia around the same period.
