We the undersigned do most
respectfully appeal to your Honour and to the Honourable
Members of the Grand Jury – hoping that they would quash the
proceedings in the case of Murphy verses Murphy. We are all
near relatives & although in our passion we did violate the
Law and were guilty of illegal conduct in a more or less
degree – yet we do hope that if you, Honourable Gentlemen,
would extend mercy to us, our future good conduct will be a
proof of the sincerity of our sorrow for what is past & we,
as in duty bound, will ever pray.
