An exhibit notice in the Hucksters Shop portion of the museum, states that the "Grocers & Allied Trades Assistants Association have agreed with the undersigned Employees to close their establishments for a weekly half day on Wednesdays. It does not state a date however but it must have been in the late twenties or early thirties, from it one can get a picture of how much the ownership of the business premises have changed.

Gerald Donnelly, Grocer & Licensed Vintner Wholesale & Retail now occupied by M/S Shaws Drapery Store; Lipton's Grocery & Bacon Store now Carlow Bookshop & Brocketts Tea Rooms; Daniel McDonnell Grocery & Spirits now Tully's latest store; Atlantic Tea Packing Co. now Muffins Restaurant & Coffee Shop, Tullow St.; Ml. McDonnell Bar & Grocery Shops now Tully's Bar and Take Away Stores,

William Mulhall General Hardware now Paul's Bookshop; Ml. Byrne Grocery & Homecured Bacon Store now Bramleys Jewellery & Fashion Centre, Dublin St. and Market Cross; Ed. Duggan Grocery, Bar and Stationer's Shop now Peter & Betty O'Gorman's Delicatessen, Bar & Restaurant also Bernie Hayes Stationery Shop and Fancy Goods Store; Leverett & Frye Wholesale & Retail Store now The Little Owl Bar and Restaurant, Dublin St.

Jas Duggan, Seedsman & Nursery Seeds now part of "The House for Men" Drapery Store, Dublin St; John Brennan, Victualler now Glass Centre, Dublin St.; P. C. Bergin Licensed Vintners now O'Loughlin's Bar, Dublin St.; Jas J. Oliver Butcher's Shop now private house; J. Jackson "Sheaf of Wheat" Licensed Vintner now Peggys Place Bar; James Brennan Bacon Curer & Grocery Store still in same business.

Michael Nolan "The Irishman's" Bar & Grocery now under the ownership of John Hargaden with a Lounge Bar; Frank O'Rourke Light Hardware Store, Centaur St. now demolished; Catherine McDonnell, Templecroney Licensed Bar now under different ownership under the name of "The Crow's Nest". J. Murphy, Haymarket, Bar & Grocery now 'Stonehaven" Lounge & Bar under the ownership of Tom Clerkin.

R. M. Collier Bar & Grocery now Ewings Lounge & Bar; William Burns Grocery Wholesale & Retail now "Aliens" Wedding Gifts Store, Wallpaper etc. Castle St.; London & Newcastle Grocery Store now "Window Fashions" under the proprietorship of Michael Byrne, Castle St.; J. Walsh Bakery, Castle St. now a Pony Riding facilities establishment; Tom McDonald Bar & Grocery now Abbey Tavern Lounge & Bar; Bridget Kearney Flour & Meal Store now Fitzmaurices Meat Store, Kennedy St.; Jas O'Neill Meat Store now private dwelling owned by his son Jimmy.

M. A. Kelly Grocery & Bar now office and store part of Corcoran & Co.; ML Brophy Licensed Vintner, Burrin St. now Jas. Kelly Licensed Vintner; W. P. Good Hardware Store now part owned by Tyler Shoe Co. and part Goods Hardware, Paint Shop; Julia Colgan Fancy Goods Store now Allied Irish Finance Ltd.; Edwin Boake, Baker now Crotty's Bakery & Confectionery Store; L. M. Hearns, Victualler, Tullow St. now occupied by a Dentist, Men's Drapery and a 1 stores; Foley Bros, now occupied by Aidan Lennon Lounge Bar; Jas. Dunphy now occupied by Kealys Lounge Bar also Dancing Lounge, Tullow St.; James Farrell Hardware Merchant now ; occupied by Brendan Dempsey & Son with extended shop and large hardware stores at rear; Peter Foley Licensed Premises at corner of Barrack St. now occupied by "Gee Gees" with some extended business and lounge and meals served; Mr. Nelson, Court Place now Insurance Brokers Pat Mullarkey; C. McDermott Licensed Vintner, Tullow St. now in the same business; Nationalist & Leinster Times works & office, Tullow St. still in the same business but in a more extensive way; P. Byrne, Tullow St. Licensed Premises & Auctioneer now occupied by "Caulfields" as a Select Bar & Lounge.
