Thomas Knight 1650.
Pat Purcell Papers
"Thomas Knight, late of Carlow, who having secured land in
the County of Cork" acted as a witness to a land transaction
in Carlow in 1650.
Witnessed the transferring of "ground in the Burrin lands in
Carlow town from Joseph Eames, late a soldier in Cromwell's
army", to John Broadway.
Note from Michael Purcell 2011
Thomas Knight did not swear the Oath as a witness which may
indicate he was a member of the Religious Society of Friends
(Quakers) as was Joseph Eames I think?
If Knight was a Quaker you may be lucky because they have
kept excellent records, it might be worth contacting
