Surnames: MEADE, TROTT, BARKER
Query: Hi, I'm trying to find out about my husband's GGG
grandmother. Her name is Ellen MEADE,her middle name was possibly Medden. From her
death and marriage certificates she was born in Callan, which I believe is part
of Kilkenny, about 1832. Her father's name was James MEADE, and his occupation
was bootmaker. Mothers name unknown. Also unknown if he left Ireland. Ellen MEADE
seems to have emigrated to Western Australia in about 1850, since on her death
certificate of 24 November 1901, aged 69 years she had lived in Western Australia
for 50 years. Ellen MEADE married Thomas Henry TROTT on 15 or 25 August 1851 in
Fremantle, Western Australia. She was then 19 years old. His parents Hodson TROTT
and Maria BARKER of Boston, Lincolnshire. He was born 23 October 1823,died 6 Mat
1910. He was a convict sent to Western Australia aboard the Scindian in 1850,
sentenced 6 March 1847 and granted Ticket of Leave 3 December 1850. They produced
8 children and lived in the Western Australian towns of Fremantle, Irishtown,
Serpentine and Bunbury. Any help or exchange of information appreciated thank
you.

Just found family connection to a Tom Brennan. At this stage I have very little

Tom's daughter Lydia was born in Kilkenny 1909, therefore, presume they are of
the Kilkenny Brennan's. 1927 Lydia went to stay with a cousin in West Place Long

Query: I am
looking for information about my great-grandmother, Bridget Dunne, and her
family, all of whom I believe were from Urlingford. The family was Catholic.
Bridget's parents were Richard Dunne and Mary Cleary, who I assume were born
about 1830 and were married about 1850. Richard and Mary had at least four
children: Ellen (b. 1856), Bridget (b. July 1858), John (year of birth unknown)
and Honore (year of birth unkown).
Bridget and Ellen both emigrated to America in the 1870s, but I believe the rest
of the family remained in Ireland, probably in or around Urlingford. According

Urlingford, County Kilkenny, Ireland" and Honore Dunne was living at "Fennon,

Query: I am looking
for information about my great-grandfather, William Campion, and his family, all
of whom were from Graig. The family was Catholic.
William's parents were Edmund Campion and Rebecca Reid, both of whom I guess were
born about 1820 and who married about 1845.
Edmund and Rebecca had at least six children, but the only one I have information
about is William, who the records suggest was born in October, in or about 1848.
William emigrated to America in 1880 and died in an historic fire in New York
City on the night of January 9, 1912.
I would greatly appreciate any information or any suggestions.

Query: My mother was Nora Creevey, daughter of Timothy and
Elizabeth[Polly] Creevey. She lived on the estate at Talbots Inch, where the
father was stone mason to the Desart family.
She had 5 brothers and sisters.
William,John,Vera,Annie and Ilene.
My mother was born in 1909 -I think in Dublin.
The story was she was driven out of the village as she has argued with a priest-
and she went to England to Stockport at the age of 17.
She had attended the village school, but had been very badly treated by her
Mother.
Timothy had an accident on the Estate when a pile of wood fell on his head. He
was dumb afterwards and had surgery to insert a silver plate in his head-i gatehr
the countess would have paid for this.
However-he could not work and the family was very poor.
Does anyone know of the work my grandfather did-I gather he carved church
architectural detail, and there was evidently a book of his work.

Martin and sister Annie (Larkin) still lived in Ireland. In 1929 Martin Brennan
wrote to his niece stating his sister Julia had died in 1915 and he was the only
one of 10 children surviving. Martin's daughter Margaret also wrote stating
she had 1 brother and 4 sisters. The address given on these letters was
Knockmajor, Coolcullen, County Kilkenny. I believe that Patrick and William's
parents were Thomas and Margaret.
I also have a photograph of a Pat Brennan and family. Details given are me and
mother, John, wife and family, Den, wife and babe, Mary, husband and family. I
have no idea who this family is. The house is quite substantial. It looks to be
made of timber and part of it has two storeys. Perhaps it is in America??

Mary Dwyer and Father Thomas Brennan, Parish Priest at Ballyhale, was contacted

1825. He found this entry:
"1845, Aug. (7) Jas. (of) Pat. Raftis, Mary Dwyer. (Sponsor) Thos. Kullaley,
Anne Dwyer, Baysrath."
Patrick and Mary Raftis and baby son James left Ireland for Canada around 1847
