My grandmother Margaret Anne Perritt was born somewhere in Kilkenny Co abt 1860 to Martin Perritt. Her sister was Hannah Perritt Cranny of Gowran. Several years ago, the parrish priest wrote me a lovely letter telling me about my grandmothers sister but had no records of any other Perritts in the parish. I believe there was a Jack (John??) who operated equipment for a company in T-town. Also a Bridget. That makes Martin Perritt the father, children Margaret, Hannah, Jack, and Bridget. I found a Martin who died in Castlecomer but couldn't put him with this family. Can you help? - Jay

Looking for family of Patrick Dillon, an immigrant to Nova Scotia, born about 1814 in the parish of Windgap, County Kilkenny, the son of James and Marguerite (McNamara) Dillon. The Windgap (village) church records were of little assistance, replete with McNamaras, but with scant references to Dillons. Griffith's Valuation shows Dillons as tenant farmers (including a James) clustered at Ballybeagh in Parish of Tullaroan. What would be the cemetery for Ballybeagh and would there be published inscriptions? Any leads or other assistance would be most welcome. Judith Giffin, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
