Notes. 1. The first names have been spelled out, but ordinarily were abbreviated: Patt. for Patrick, etc.

2. Some townland names do not appear in the Ordnance Survey. On the other hand, some names in the Ordnance survey do not appear in the Tithe Applotment.

3. The Tithe Applotment names of tenants were probably supplied by the landlord from his records. The names are hand-written, and thus subject to many potential errors in transcription, especially inability to read 1824 Irish hand-writing from a journal.

4. The numbers in the index with each name appear to be in pencil, and probably applied by the Irish Land Commission. The Applotment book also contains the area and value of each plot, and these are available on the film.
