Leonard J. Becker

Leonard J. Becker, 48, died June 3, 1999, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

He was born June 12, 1950, at Beloit, the son of Anton J. and Josephine Rinert Becker. An Attica resident for four years, moving from Hardtner, he was a truck driver.

He belonged to St. Hardtner Catholic Church, Sharon.

On Feb. 23, 1973, he married Charolette E. Sumpter at Osborne, she survives.

Other survivors include: his mother, four daughters, Loretta Boor, Medicine Lodge, Tammy Becker, Hutchinson, Christina McNutt, El Dorado, and Kimberly Becker, Attica; three brothers, Al, Portis, Ronald; Tipton, and Donald, Osborne; four sisters, Jennie Milholland, Glasco, Joyce Mick, Downs, Diana Palen, Tipton, and Viola Mickler, Austin, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at the Holy Rosary, Catholic Church, Medicine Lodge, with Father Anthony Sullentrop presiding. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.

Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge, was in charge of arrangements.
