KIOWA SOLDIER DIES IN ACTION IN FRANCE
The sad news that another Barber county boy has been killed in action was received in Kiowa, Friday. He is Pvt. Cecil Hood a son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hood. Mrs. Hood is a half sister of Alice E. Herr of Medicine Lodge. Pvt. Hood was wounded July 27 and died from the injuries August 5 in France. He was 29 years old.
