Lt. Howard Is Missing

Mrs. Warren Rodgers and Mrs. Howard Thomas received word Friday that their brother, Lt. Wayne Howard is missing somewhere between New Guinea and Biak Island.

He was flight leader of his squadron and having completed his full number of missions, he had accepted a job delivering messages for General Kenney. It is believed he was doing this when reported missing.

Lt. Howard graduated from the Medicine Lodge high school and was well known in this community. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Howard of Newburg, Ore. He was married to Miss Pat McCart of Enid, Okla., before going overseas.
