SHARON FARMER DIES FROM GUNSHOT WOUND

Orville Lichlyter, forty years of age, a farmer residing at Sharon, was shot and fatally wounded on Tuesday afternoon of this week about one o'clock, as he sat fishing on the bank of a pond at the farm of Frank Hudson southwest of Nashville, and just over the line in Kingman county.

The bullet which lodged in the back of Lichlyter's head, was fired from a 22 rifle held in the hands of Glynn Gaddie, 26 years old, also of the Sharon community, according to reports reaching here.

Lichlyter died about three hours after the shooting in the Nashville hospital where he was rushed by George Jones, his fishing companion, also of Sharon. Gaddie was lodged in the Kingman county jail at Kingman following an investigation by officers of that county. It was indicated at Kingman that a warrant, charging fourth degree manslaughter, would be issued for Gaddie.

Barber county officers were called to investigate the affair, but on reaching the scene of the shooting, discovered it to be across the line in Kingman county and the Kingman county officers were notified.

Lichlyter's body is at the Forsyth Mortuary awaiting funeral arrangements.
