Barber County Index, February 3, 1944.

Sgt. Redwine Awarded Oak Leaf Cluster

T/Sgt. A. H. Redwine, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Redwine, Lake City has completed 13 bombing missions over enemy territory, several of them over Berlin. He has been awarded the Oak Leaf Cluster for his meritorious work.

Sgt. Redwine is the upper turret gunner on a Flying Fortress, the B-24. He has two other brothers in the service. They are Capt. L. J. Redwine, Camp Edwards, Mass., and his youngest brother, Pvt. M. C. Redwine who recently finished his basic training at McClelland Field, Ala., and has been transferred to Fort Ord, Calif.
