"This is the Rock School House located approximately 5 miles north of Sun City. It is on the west side of the blacktop. My great-grandmother, Laura Bernice (Lott) Hoagland, attended school here. Her parents' farm was 2 1/2 miles south of the school. She started school when she was 5 years old and walked the 2 1/2 miles with her brothers, who more often than not would run off and leave her to walk by herself." - Kim Fowles.
