| Cox cemetery is off newly named highway 400 and 90th about 3 miles north of Riverton, Kansas. It is direcly west of the old chemical plant called Gulf chemical, about a half mile into the wooded area down a dirt road. This cemetery cannot be seen from the road. It is very close to brush creek, very beautiful area. Cherokee county is on the border of Jasper county in Missouri, and Ottawa county of Oklahoma. I wish I had more information. The head stones date back to the 1870's with some broken that cannot be read. A old fence outlines the cemetery, and as seen this cemetery has no markers to show it is there.
