The first deed mentioning an area for cemetery was dated 15 March 1886 in which Hiram crum and wife deeded 160 acres to Mary S. Maddox, except 1/2 acre in the Southwest corner of SW1/4 of Section 27, Township 34, Range 24 to be used for a grave yard.
