Funeral services for A. C. Weaver, 77, were held Monday afternoon at 2
o'clock in the Baptist church with Rev. Jack Higgins officiating. Burial
was made in Fairview cemetery. The Fleener mortuary was in charge.
Mr. Weaver has been a patient in a convalescent home in Dodge City for
a month and died there, Thursday, January 13.
He was born June 6, 1877 at Springhill, Mo. He was married to Martha
Gemima Webster on June 27, 1897. He and his family lived in and near
Chillicothe, Mo., until 1904, then moving to Iola, Kans. In 1937 they moved
to their farm north of Greensburg.
Survivors are the wife and four children, W. B. Weaver of Siebert,
Colo., Chester Weaver of Cullison, Ray Weaver of Greensburg and Mrs. Ruth
Bronson of Larned; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two
children preceded him in death.

MRS. ALFRED WEAVER DIES AT LARNED
Mrs. Alfred C. Weaver of Greensburg died Sunday, August 6, at St.
Joseph's Hospital at Larned where she had been since April. She was 92
years old.
Mrs. Martha Weaver was born Feb. 26, 1880, at Spring Hill, Mo. She was
married to Alfred C. Weaver on June 27, 1897, at Chillicothe, Mo. The moved
to Kiowa County in 1937 and lived on a farm northeast of Greensburg. He
preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1955. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, W. B. of Larned, Chester of Cullison and
Roy of Greensburg; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Pliska of Chicago, Ill.; 17
grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Fleener Chapel with
Rev. James Poland officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
