The following information was compiled from two documents obtained from the Leavenworth County Museum. A 1979 printout of known names of persons buried there with their dates of birth and deaths, and a transcription of tombstones made by Paul and Gladys Carnahan on March 17, 1957. While speaking with those who live near the cemetery I learned that there are many burials in the cemetery that are not listed. There is no known actual record of all the burials that took place there. I was also told that many African American's were buried in this cemetery and there are no markers for them. |
