seven brothers and five sisters; survived by his wife, Lois Langvardt of Clay Center;
three sons, Denny Langvardt and wife Karen of Clay Center,

Dawn of Clay Center; one brother, Art Langvardt of
Hastings, Neb.; one sister, Faye Glidewell of Orlando,

Samuel Langworthy, a long time resident of Clay Center, and prominent in all the affairs of this place, died last Friday afternoon, April 10, at the Clay Center hospital, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Langworthy was born at Lodswell, Devonshire, England in the year 1847, and came to this country, and to the state of Kansas, in 1870. In his early years years here he was a farmer in the northeast part of the county, but later sold his farming interests and became an auctioneer, here in Clay Center. He was also a Justice of the Peace and at one time filled the office of constable of this place. He leaves no relatives in this country, but is survived by two sisters in England. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Rose undertaking rooms, under the auspices of the Masonic lodge, of which he was a member. A large procession of friends from all over the county followed the body to Greenwood Cemetery, where he was laid to rest next to two of his friends from early days, Wirt W. Walton and C. E. Gifford.

Anna Christina Largent, 81, formerly of Oak Hill, died April 20, 1964 in Topeka. She was born March 11, 1883 in Clay County. Survivors include her husband, Arthur, of Topeka; daughters Grace Waterman of Howell, Michigan and Wilma Greer of Silver Lake; sons, Earl of Oak Hill and Ernest of Topeka; and a sister, Lizzie Struthers of Florida. Loretta May Lewis, 61, of Longford, died Aug. 30, 1975 at Minneapolis. She was born in Rooks Co. on Jan. 27, 1917. George Lohman, the six year old grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Schiltz of this city, died Saturday morning at the Lohman home in Kansas City. He was well known in Clay Center, having visited here many times with his mother and his twin brother, Edwin, and was a great favorite with his many Clay Center friends. The body was brought to Clay Center Saturday night and on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock funeral services were held at the Catholic church in this city. The pall bearers, C. L. Immele, J. C. Mrs. Martha Loveland died Wednesday afternoon, January 21, at the home of her son, Howard G. Loveland, in Bloom twp., at the age of seventy four years, three months and five days. Short services were held at the Loveland home Thursday morning and the body was shipped immediately to her old home at Prairie Du Chein, Wis., accompanied by Howard and Walter Loveland.
