LEWIS G. PARKER
Mr. Parker arrived in Oberlin in 1877. He had studied law in Iowa but made his living working at the tinning business, and we understand he put on some of the first tin roofs in the town. He was county attorney one term about 1883-4. Some ten years ago he purchased the Oberlin Times and made a success as a newspaper man. He sold out the first of the year and is taking life easy at present. He once gave us the doubtful compliment that he was doing his best to make the Times as good as the HERALD which he admitted was something of a task.
