Abilene, Herington and Solomon City
ABILENE
At an early period in its history this town became famous for its lawlessness and barbarism, but with the advance of civilization and the improvement of the country these objectionable features were expelled from the social system, and today she stands an example of morality and refined culture. The city has grown greatly in the past few years, and boasts now of a population of about 10,000. Three lines of railroad cross here, the C. K. & W., the U. P. and the C.
