Lyons Creek South Baptist Cemetery
Section 11, Union Twp.
Dickinson Co., Kansas

The Lyons Creek South Baptist Cemetery (AKA Upper Lyons Creek German Baptist, Old German Baptist) is a seldom-used burial ground located in Section 11 of Union Twp.--only five burials have taken place in the last 50 years. There was once a church, disbanded in 1901, located at this site. This survey was done August 22, 2004 by Connie Volkman. Thanks also to Connie for the photographs of the tombstones. There were many broken-off, damaged and weather-worn stones, and some of the markers were difficult to read--if you have any additions or corrections let me know. Items in brackets contain information from other sources.
