Cemetery Hill - Murphy Cemetery

There is very little known about this cemetery other than this entry in the D.A.R. Transcriptions of Lyon County published in the 1940's, and used with their permission. The following was shared with The Flints Hills Genealogical Society.

In looking over the list of this cemetery made by the DAR, I might shed some light on the ones buried there. The first Sarah coinsides with information I have on Sarah Sowers d/o Samuel Sowers and Elizabeth Bowman. She married Samuel redmond 14 Apr 1878. I found them once in one of the state census in Center Twp., but could not find them again, until I found Samuel and the children in Fox llTwp., Linclon Co., OK on 15 AJune 1900. Sarah Sowers was born in 1848, like I stated, to Samuel and Elizabeth Sowers. Samuel Sowers is my ggrandfather.
